Born in 1974 in Kuching, Sebastian started painting since childhood. Sebastian’s art focuses on oil pastel and watercolour. He keeps active in design and decoration activities in his school. Sebastian described himself as a “re-born” artist after a 13 year hiatus of not picking up a paintbrush. He rekindled his love for painting in 2013. Now he only leaves his paintbrush untouched during his resting hours and paints whenever he is free. Sebastian’s artworks have a sense of photographic realism, with a burst of vibrant colours. Sebastian finds it satisfying to present his creations as photo-realistic as possible. The main theme of his art is the diversity of nature and beauty in Borneo, thus the occasional flora and fauna appearing in his paintings. His artworks are greatly presented in acrylic or oil on canvas. He joined Sarawak Artists Society in 2014.
